Why the sleep trial phase is important?

Buying a new mattress is not an easy task. A mattress is a longtime investment and therefore it is very important that it is comfortable and right for your body. But you should also take into account that your body needs time to get used to a brand new mattress. So, how do you find out that whether you have chosen the perfect mattress? Fortunately, you can find this out during the sleep trial phase. But what exactly is a sleep trial phase? We will explain it to you now.

The concept of the Bed-in-a-box

Unpack

Take mattress out of the box, lay it on a flat surface and roll it out.

Unwrap

Use the handy cutter to gently snip off the plastic wrapper.

Unwind!

You´re all set to strech out on your new mattress.

What is the sleep trial period?

A sleep trial means that when you purchase a product, you can test it out for an agreed amount of time. If the product doesn´t suit you, you can return it for a full refund.

Why is a sleep trial phase important?

All bodies need time to get used to a new mattress. It can take a few weeks for your body to adjust to a different sleeping style or posture on a new mattress, but once your body has adapted, we are sure that you will feel its benefits! Each mattress has its own set of characteristics that can vary greatly. Hard, soft, pocket springs, foam layers or comfort zones ... Each property provides a special addition, and every combination is different. In addition to this, quality also has a major impact. If you have slept on a cheap mattress for years, a quality mattress may feel a lot firmer then your body is originally used to. So even though you might think that a particular mattress feels comfortable when you test it out at the store, your body may still need more time to process its true benefits.

Why is it better to test the mattress at home instead of a store?

You should test out the mattress in the environment where you feel most comfortable in and it comes as no surprise that you will feel most at ease in your own space, with your comfy PJ´s on. Also, in the store you will only have a short time (about half an hour) to try the mattress, This is not enough! At home, you can test it out for a much longer period. It is important to actually sleep during the testing phase since you can try different sleeping positions and find out what suits you best.

How long should you test out the mattress?

This of course differs from person to person. Some people already know that the mattress is right for the first night, others need more time to get used to it. It usually takes 2 to 3 weeks of testing to really appreciate your new mattress.
